I've engraved my original photograph of a White Clock with Citrus Fruit on 8" wide x 12 high x 1" deep basswood canvas, then painted layers of oil over the engraved image. The painting's frame is finished in a coordinating hue. A sawtooth picture hanger at the back makes it easy to hang on the wall.
