About
I'm Teresa Pereira, a painter, art teacher, graphic designer, and muralist. PearTree Designs has been my professional business name for many years. (because Pereira means pear tree in Portuguese.)
Based in Westchester, NY, I graduated from Fordham University, College at Lincoln Center, with a BFA in Fine Arts, where I was awarded the Studio Art Award for painting. My quest for a job in the arts led me to a career as a Graphic Designer, and I have over 30 years of experience in several areas of the publishing industry including newspapers, medical journals and magazines.
In addition to teaching Studio Art at Maria Regina High School, I also paint and exhibit work (primarily in oils), and teach Art workshops around the New York/Westchester area.
I am highly creative, organized and deadline-oriented. My goal is to combine my knowledge and experience as a fine artist and graphic designer to deliver the highest quality creative print and web products to my clients. I also strive to deliver high quality, imaginative art lessons and enjoyable learning experiences to my art students.
