I've engraved my original photo of a Mahogany Mantle Clock at an Open Vine-filled Window on an 8" wide x 12 high x 1" deep basswood canvas, then layered oil paint over the engraved image. The painting's frame is finished in a coordinating hue. A sawtooth picture hanger at the back makes it easy to hang on the wall.
