Scroll Work Over Turret Doorways

The rounded walls of this turret entrance were colorwashed in a sunny butter yellow before the decorative scrollwork was painted over both doorways. The designs were applied with a custom stencil, over which hand painted details were added. To achieve the aged look that the client wanted, both designs were gently sanded, which made the paint look as if it had worn away over the years. The project was completed in 1 day.
